“Sometimes you walk into a room, and you instantly know that this sound is correct.”

That was the impression captured by Jason Thorpe in his SoundStage! Global review of Sphinx at High End Munich 2025.

In Atrium 4.1, Room F130, the Sphinx Element 5 impressed with unexpectedly rich bass, precise imaging, and a sense of scale that exceeded expectations. This was the result of bold engineering choices — Zero Gravity™ Bass design, a semi-active crossover network, and a sculptural cabinet crafted for both performance and presence.

Alongside it, the Element 3 offered a more compact expression of the same philosophy, with its alabaster finish and gold accents making a striking statement in both form and sound.

Thorpe’s review underscores how quickly Sphinx established itself as one of the most talked-about debuts of the show — a blend of engineering innovation, aesthetic refinement, and sonic authority.

Thank you Jason Thorpe and SoundStage! Global for the thoughtful review and for sharing your impressions of our Munich debut.
