HIGH END Vienna 2026 brought together some of the finest audio systems in the world, making it one of the most anticipated events on the international high-end audio calendar. Following the exhibition, SoundStage! Australia editor Edgar Kramer published his overview of the event’s most memorable demonstrations, selecting a number of standout exhibits that left a lasting impression.

Among them was the Siltech Group demonstration system featuring the Sphinx Element 5 loudspeakers.

In his report, Kramer awarded the system the distinction of “Most Improved Sound,” highlighting the significant progress he experienced compared to the previous year’s presentation in Munich.

Reflecting on the demonstration, Kramer wrote:

“The dynamics, the separation, the punch, and the spatial qualities of the Element 5 were a marked improvement.”

The system combined the Sphinx Element 5 loudspeakers with Siltech SAGA preamplifier and power amplifier, an Innuos ZENith Next-Gen streamer, a Soulution DAC, and a complete cabling solution from Siltech and Crystal Cable.

While acknowledging that the acoustics of the listening environment may have contributed to the result, Kramer also noted that substantial development work had taken place over the past year. Following conversations with Sphinx designer Marko Licanin during the exhibition, he learned that extensive refinements and tuning had been implemented between the Munich and Vienna presentations.

The result was immediately apparent in the listening room.

For Sphinx Audio Engineering, the recognition is particularly meaningful because it highlights not only the performance of the Element 5 itself, but also the continuous development philosophy behind the Element Series. Every refinement, adjustment, and engineering decision is made with a single objective: bringing listeners closer to the music.

The Element 5 represents the flagship expression of that philosophy. Combining its distinctive sculptural design with advanced technologies such as the PAC™ crossover architecture and Zero Gravity™ Bass system, the loudspeaker is designed to deliver scale, precision and musical realism without compromise.

We would like to thank Edgar Kramer and SoundStage! Australia for visiting the Siltech Group room and for recognizing the continued evolution of the Sphinx Element 5 at HIGH END Vienna 2026.
